IV Dripsin Bali
Fluids and vitamins delivered straight into the bloodstream. Genuinely useful for dehydration and recovery in this heat — and screened by a clinic before it goes in.

Days, not months
- Screened firstYou’re asked about kidney and heart history, medication and allergies before anything runs.
- In a clinic, not a villaSterile technique, medical supervision on site, and somewhere to manage a reaction.
- Honest about what it doesRehydration and correcting a deficiency are real. We don’t claim it cures anything.
- Priced per infusionFrom IDR 600,000, confirmed before the cannula goes in.
What it is
Straight past the gut
An IV drip delivers sterile fluid, electrolytes and vitamins directly into a vein through a fine cannula, usually in the arm. It takes 30 to 60 minutes, you sit in a chair, and you can read, work or scroll throughout.
The reason to do it this way is absorption. Taken orally, water-soluble vitamins are limited by how much the gut will take up, and if you’re vomiting, badly dehydrated or simply not keeping anything down, oral doesn’t work at all. Intravenous bypasses that entirely — everything given reaches the bloodstream.
Where that matters most is fluid. Dehydration in a tropical climate is real, common and immediately responsive to rehydration, and that’s the part of IV therapy with the least argument attached to it. If you’ve spent a day in the sun, trained hard, had food poisoning or had a long night, this works.
Where it matters less is topping up vitamins you weren’t short of. A well-nourished person given extra water-soluble vitamin excretes most of it. That doesn’t make the drip useless — it means the honest claim is smaller than the industry’s, and we’d rather state it plainly.
Straight answer
What a drip does, and what it doesn’t
IV therapy is marketed harder than almost anything in wellness. Here’s the version we’d give a friend — including the parts that don’t help us sell it.
What it genuinely does
- Rehydrates fast, and far more effectively than drinking when you’re already behind. This is the strongest and least disputed benefit.
- Replaces electrolytes lost through heavy sweating, vomiting or diarrhoea — common enough here to be its own category.
- Corrects a genuine deficiency, where one exists. Bypassing the gut matters if you’re depleted or not absorbing well.
- Delivers anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory medication where clinically appropriate, which is often what actually helps after a bad night.
- Makes you feel better quickly. Some of that is fluid, some is rest in a quiet room for an hour. Both count.
What it doesn’t do
- Detox. Your liver and kidneys do that, continuously, and no infusion improves on them.
- Cure or prevent illness. A vitamin infusion is not treatment for an infection, and we won’t describe it as immune therapy.
- Replace medical care. Severe dehydration, persistent vomiting, chest pain or fever needs a hospital, not a drip in a clinic.
- Do much for someone already well-nourished and well-hydrated. Excess water-soluble vitamin is largely excreted.
- Whiten skin permanently. Glutathione’s brightening effect is temporary, is not a licensed use, and is not something we’ll promise.
IV vitamin therapy is a wellness treatment, not a medical treatment for any disease. Evidence is strongest for rehydration and for correcting documented deficiency, and weaker for general wellness claims. Nothing on this page is intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
The drips
Pick the reason, not the name
Most clinics sell drips by brand name. We’d rather you started from why you’re in the chair — the contents follow from that. Filter by what’s actually going on.
Filter by what’s going on — or tell us in clinic and we’ll suggest what fits, including telling you when a drip isn’t what you need.
The morning after
Hangover is mostly dehydration, electrolyte loss and inflammation. Fluid plus electrolytes, with anti-nausea or anti-inflammatory medication where appropriate, is the fastest legitimate fix — and by far the most requested drip in Canggu.
Most booked
Bali belly and food poisoning
When you can’t keep water down, oral rehydration fails by definition. This is IV therapy at its most genuinely useful. If there’s high fever, blood or severe pain, we send you to a hospital instead — and we mean that.
Assessed first
Dehydration and heat exhaustion
A day of sun, surf and no water adds up faster here than people expect. Headache, dark urine, fatigue and cramping are the signs, and fluid resolves them within hours.
Straightforward
Training and surf recovery
Heavy sweating in humidity depletes fluid and electrolytes faster than sipping keeps up with. Popular with people training daily or surfing multiple sessions.
Between sessions
Jet lag and long-haul arrival
Cabin air is extremely dehydrating and most people land behind on fluid. A drip on arrival doesn’t reset your body clock, but it does remove the dehydration layered on top of it.
Day one or two
Fatigue and B-vitamin support
Useful where you’re genuinely depleted — poor diet, restrictive eating, high output. Less so if you’re eating well and sleeping badly, in which case the drip treats the wrong thing and we’ll say so.
Honest fit required
Vitamin C and antioxidant support
Vitamin C is a genuine cofactor in collagen synthesis, so there’s a real mechanism here. High-dose vitamin C requires G6PD screening beforehand and isn’t given without it.
Screening required
Glutathione brightening
Widely requested and widely oversold. Any brightening is temporary and fades once you stop, and it is not a licensed use of the drug. We’ll give you the honest version before you book, not after.
Honest expectations
Support around a treatment plan
Often paired with skin work during a longer stay — hydration and nutrient support while boosters or biostimulators do the structural work. The drip supports; it doesn’t substitute.
Combined plan
Sometimes the honest answer is water and a nap
Mild dehydration in someone eating and drinking normally doesn’t need a cannula. We’d rather tell you that and keep you as a patient than take IDR 600,000 for something oral rehydration would have fixed by lunchtime. Tell us what’s actually going on and we’ll say which it is.
Ask on WhatsAppContents are chosen in clinic after screening, and some infusions are not appropriate for everyone. Kidney or heart conditions, pregnancy, G6PD deficiency and certain medications all change what can safely be given — which is why this is a clinic treatment and not a menu.
Pricing
IV drip prices in Bali
IV drips at Aeconic start from IDR 600,000 per infusion. What you pay depends on the contents, and the screening that comes before it is included rather than billed as a consultation.
One session, 30 to 60 minutes, contents chosen after screening. The entry point, and enough for straightforward rehydration and recovery.
High-dose vitamin C, glutathione and added medication sit above the base price. You’ll be told the figure before the cannula goes in.
Frequently added to a treatment day during a longer stay. Booked in the same visit it costs less than a separate appointment.
Prices are in Indonesian Rupiah and confirmed before treatment starts. Nothing is added mid-treatment. If screening shows a drip isn’t appropriate for you, there’s no charge for the assessment — we’d rather send you home than run something we’re not comfortable with.
Safety
It’s a cannula in a vein. Treat it that way.
IV therapy at Aeconic is screened and administered within a doctor-led clinic under Dr. Connie Calista Tham, with sterile single-use technique and medical supervision on site.
IV drips are marketed as a lifestyle product, which obscures what they actually are: direct venous access, delivering substances that bypass every filter your body has. Done properly that’s routine and very safe. Done casually it isn’t.
The screening matters. Fluid volume is a real consideration for anyone with kidney or heart conditions. High-dose vitamin C can cause serious problems in G6PD deficiency, which is why we test rather than assume. Pregnancy, allergies and current medication all change the picture — and someone has to ask before the line is opened.
The setting matters too. Reactions are uncommon but not impossible, and a clinic can manage one. If you’re being offered a drip at a villa, a party or a hotel room, ask what happens if something goes wrong there — the answer is usually nothing.

The appointment
What happens, and when
Screening
Medical history, medication, allergies, kidney and heart conditions, and what’s actually going on today. This decides the contents — and occasionally decides against a drip entirely.
Cannula placed
A brief sharp scratch in the arm, then nothing. Once it’s in you shouldn’t feel it. Tell us immediately if you feel stinging or burning at the site.
The infusion
You sit in a chair while it runs. Read, work, take calls. Some people notice a cool sensation up the arm or a vitamin taste — both normal.
How you’ll feel
Rehydration is often noticeable within the hour. Anything nutrient-related builds over the following day. The effect is measured in days rather than months.
Mild bruising at the cannula site is common. Dizziness, rash, breathlessness or chest tightness during an infusion is not — tell staff immediately rather than waiting for it to pass.
Before & aftercare
Simple, but not nothing
This is the lightest aftercare of anything we offer. The part that matters is what you tell us beforehand.
Before your drip
- Eat something light beforehand. An infusion on an empty stomach is the most common cause of feeling faint.
- Drink water on the way in. Well-hydrated veins are easier to cannulate — it’s a shorter, more comfortable appointment.
- Tell us about kidney or heart conditions, diabetes, G6PD deficiency, and any allergy to medication or preservatives.
- List every medication and supplement you’re taking, including anything you started this week.
- Tell us if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Several formulas aren’t appropriate.
- Wear something with sleeves that roll up easily, and skip heavy caffeine right before.
After your drip
- Keep the dressing on for an hour or two and avoid heavy lifting with that arm for the rest of the day.
- Keep drinking water. A drip starts rehydration; it doesn’t finish it.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours — particularly if the reason you came in was alcohol.
- Eat properly afterwards. Nutrients work with food, not instead of it.
- Sit for a few minutes before standing if you feel light-headed, and don’t ride a scooter straight out of the chair.
- Mild bruising at the site is normal and fades within days. Increasing pain, redness, swelling or warmth is not — message us.
- Sun, sea and pool are fine once the site has closed, which is usually within a few hours.
If you feel unwell in the hours after an infusion, contact the clinic directly on WhatsApp. For severe symptoms — breathlessness, chest pain, facial swelling — go to the nearest emergency department first and tell us afterwards.
Drip or something else
If it’s your skin you’re worried about
A drip supports general wellbeing. If the reason you’re considering one is how your skin looks, these do that job directly — and a drip alongside them is support rather than substitute.
Skin boosters
Hyaluronic acid micro-injected into the dermis, hydrating the skin itself for months rather than the body for days. If “glow” is what you’re after, this reaches the layer a drip can’t target.
Skin booster Bali →Medical facials
Cleansing, extraction and hydration at the surface, visible the same day. Dull, congested skin looks dull and congested regardless of what’s in your bloodstream.
Medical facials →Rejuran
Polynucleotides that repair thin, damaged or reactive skin from within. Where a drip supplies raw materials, this delivers a repair signal to the tissue that needs it.
Rejuran in Bali →| Treatment | Works on | Best for | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| IV drip | Whole body | Dehydration, recovery, deficiency | Days |
| Medical facial | Skin surface | Congestion, dullness, extraction | 3 – 4 weeks |
| Skin booster | Dermis | Dehydrated, dull, crepey skin | 4 – 6 months |
| Rejuran | Dermis | Repair, thin or reactive skin | 3 – 6 months |
| Chemical peeling | Epidermis | Texture, post-acne marks, tone | Course-based |

Visiting Bali
Why this one is popular here
Heat, humidity, long flights, hard training, late nights and the occasional bout of Bali belly. This island produces the exact conditions IV therapy is genuinely good for.
Book it early in your trip. A drip on day one after a long-haul flight clears the dehydration you landed with, and you get the rest of the trip back rather than spending three days catching up.
The morning after. Message us when you wake up — we’ll usually fit you in the same day, and it’s the most common reason people book. No judgement attached.
If it’s Bali belly, tell us the details. How long, how often, whether there’s fever or blood. Most cases we can help with in the chair. Some need a hospital, and we’ll say so rather than run a drip and hope.
Living in Canggu? Once in a while when you’re genuinely depleted is sensible. Weekly, as a substitute for water, sleep and food, isn’t — and no clinic that says otherwise is being straight with you.

Questions

How much does an IV drip cost in Bali?
At Aeconic Clinic in Canggu, IV drips start from IDR 600,000 per infusion. What you pay depends on the contents — specialised formulas such as high-dose vitamin C or glutathione, and any added medication, sit above the base price.
The screening beforehand is included rather than billed as a separate consultation. If it shows a drip isn’t appropriate for you, there’s no charge — we’d rather send you home than run something we’re not comfortable with.
Do IV drips actually work, or is it just marketing?
Both, depending on what you’re claiming. Rehydration works, unambiguously — if you’re dehydrated, IV fluid corrects it faster and more reliably than drinking, and if you can’t keep water down it’s the only route that works at all. Correcting a genuine deficiency works too.
Broad wellness claims are much weaker. A well-nourished, well-hydrated person given extra water-soluble vitamins excretes most of them. “Detox” isn’t a thing your liver needs help with. We’d rather tell you that up front than have you find out after paying for a course of twelve.
Does it hurt, and how long does it take?
There’s a brief sharp scratch when the cannula goes in, then you shouldn’t feel it. The infusion runs 30 to 60 minutes while you sit in a chair — you can read, work or take calls throughout.
Some people notice a cool sensation travelling up the arm, or a faint vitamin taste. Both are normal. Stinging or burning at the site is not — say so straight away and we’ll adjust it.
Does an IV drip help a hangover?
Yes, and this is one of the more defensible uses. A hangover is largely dehydration, electrolyte loss and inflammation, and all three respond to fluid, electrolytes and — where clinically appropriate — anti-nausea or anti-inflammatory medication.
It’s the most requested drip in Canggu and there’s no judgement attached. Message us when you wake up and we’ll usually fit you in the same day. What it won’t do is protect you in advance, so a drip before a big night isn’t a strategy.
Can I have a drip for Bali belly or food poisoning?
Often yes, and this is IV therapy at its most genuinely useful — when you can’t keep fluids down, oral rehydration fails by definition, and a drip restores you within hours.
But tell us the details when you message: how long it’s been, how often, and whether there’s fever, blood or severe abdominal pain. Those signs mean a hospital rather than a clinic chair, and we’ll direct you there instead of running a drip and hoping. Prolonged or severe illness needs proper medical assessment.
Is IV drip therapy safe, and who shouldn’t have one?
In a clinic, with screening and sterile technique, it’s routine and very safe. The common issues are minor — bruising at the site, brief light-headedness, an occasional vein that doesn’t cooperate.
Screening exists because some people genuinely shouldn’t. Kidney and heart conditions make fluid volume a real consideration. High-dose vitamin C can cause serious complications in G6PD deficiency, so we test rather than assume. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, drug allergies and certain medications all change what can safely be given. Disclose all of it — that’s the part that keeps this safe.
Will a glutathione drip whiten my skin?
Any brightening is temporary and reverses once you stop, and skin whitening is not a licensed use of intravenous glutathione. It’s one of the most oversold treatments in this region, and we’d rather say so before you book than after.
If even, brighter skin is the actual goal, treatments that work on the skin directly do more for the money — chemical peeling for pigmentation and tone, or a skin booster for hydration and light reflection.

Guide
Choosing where to have an IV drip in Bali
IV drips are sold at villas, hotels, parties and beach clubs across this island. It’s the one treatment where the setting matters as much as the contents — because it’s the one that puts a line directly into your bloodstream.
Ask who is screening you
Someone should ask about kidney and heart conditions, medication, allergies and pregnancy before a cannula goes anywhere near you. If the booking process is a menu and a payment link with no questions, that step isn’t happening — and it’s the step that makes this safe.
Ask what happens if you react
Reactions are uncommon, but a clinic can manage one and a villa bedroom can’t. Ask where the treatment takes place, who is present, what they’re trained to do, and what emergency equipment is on hand. A vague answer is an answer.
Ask about G6PD before high-dose vitamin C
G6PD deficiency is relatively common across Southeast Asia and high-dose intravenous vitamin C can cause serious haemolysis in people who have it. Any clinic offering high-dose vitamin C should raise this before you do. If they don’t, they aren’t screening.
Be sceptical of the claims
Immunity, detox, anti-ageing, whitening — the words used to sell drips are almost all beyond the evidence. That doesn’t make the treatment worthless; it means a clinic willing to state the smaller, true version is more trustworthy than one promising the larger, false one.
Ask what’s actually in it
Branded drip names tell you nothing. Ask for the contents and the doses, and ask why those for you specifically. A drip chosen from a poster rather than from your history is a product, not a treatment.
Know when it’s the wrong call
High fever, blood in stool, severe abdominal pain, chest pain, confusion or breathlessness need a hospital. A clinic that recognises this and redirects you is one worth returning to.
IV drip therapy at Aeconic Aesthetic Clinic is administered in Berawa, Canggu, in a doctor-led clinic under Dr. Connie Calista Tham, from IDR 600,000 per infusion.
