What it is
A repair signal, not a filler
Rejuran I is an injectable polynucleotide treatment made from highly purified salmon DNA fragments, delivered into the dermis of delicate areas — the under-eye, the periorbital skin and the neck.
Polynucleotides don’t add anything the skin keeps. They act as a signal: they improve the environment cells work in, support the skin barrier, and prompt your own tissue to rebuild collagen and elasticity over the weeks that follow. What you see at the end is your skin, repaired — not a product sitting under it.
That distinction matters most under the eyes, where the skin is thinnest and least forgiving. Filler placed there can look lumpy or hold water. Rejuran changes the quality of the skin itself, which is a different and often more appropriate answer to “my under-eyes look tired”.
The trade-off is patience. Because it works through regeneration, there is nothing to see on the day. Results appear at one to two weeks and build across a course. If you want an immediate change, filler does that and Rejuran does not.

Most patients need three sessions two to four weeks apart before the change is clear, then maintenance every few months. That’s not a sales structure — it’s how regeneration works. We write the plan and the total at consultation so you know what you’re starting before you start it.

Rejuran at Aeconic starts from IDR 3,500,000 per session. It sits above most injectables here for one reason: the product itself is expensive, and diluting or under-dosing it produces nothing worth paying for.
One session, one area. Enough to assess how your skin responds — though a single session on its own is unlikely to show the full change.

Rejuran is frequently sequenced with skin boosters, peeling or toxin. When it is, the plan is priced as a whole rather than treatment by treatment.

Who injects
Under the eye, the margin is millimetres
Every Rejuran treatment at Aeconic is assessed and injected by our clinic doctor, Dr. Connie Calista Tham. Nothing is delegated to a therapist, and nothing is injected before an examination.
The periorbital area is the least forgiving skin on the face. It is thin, it sits over vasculature, and it swells readily. Product placed at the wrong depth there produces visible bumps and puffiness that take days rather than hours to resolve — and under the eye, days are what people remember.
The bigger judgement call comes first: whether the tiredness you see is thin skin, a hollow, pigmentation, or simply not enough sleep. Only the first is a Rejuran problem. Treating the other three with it wastes a course and several million rupiah.
We use registered product with single-use sterile technique, and we’re happy to show you the box and batch before injection. If Rejuran isn’t the right answer, Dr. Connie will say so — sometimes it’s a skin booster, sometimes filler, and sometimes it’s barrier repair and time.

What happens, and when
The appointment
Cleanse, topical numbing, then micro-injections into the mapped area with an ultra-fine needle. You’ll leave with small raised points and possibly mild swelling.
Bumps settle
The raised points flatten within a day or two — slightly longer under the eye than elsewhere. Makeup from 24 hours. Nothing looks different yet, and that’s expected.
Visible result
Skin starts to look firmer and less crepey as regeneration takes hold. This is where the treatment first shows, not on the day.
The course
Sessions two to four weeks apart build the result rather than repeat it. The finished effect holds 3 to 6 months, then maintenance.
Timings are typical. Regenerative treatments work on your own tissue, so age, skin condition and sun exposure all affect how quickly and how much you respond.
Before & aftercare
Protecting the result in a tropical climate
Rejuran asks for a calm week either side. In Canggu that means planning around the sun and the water rather than assuming they’ll wait for you.
Before your treatment
- Avoid alcohol, aspirin, NSAIDs and blood-thinning supplements for 24 to 48 hours. Never stop prescribed medication without asking your prescribing doctor.
- No chemical peels, laser or aggressive facials for 1 week beforehand — the skin should be calm on the day.
- Stop retinol, acids and scrubs for 3 days.
- Arrive hydrated, rested and having eaten, with clean skin and no makeup if possible.
- Tell us if you have a fish or seafood allergy, are pregnant or breastfeeding, prone to cold sores, or have had filler in the same area recently.
After your treatment
- Don’t touch, rub or massage the treated area for 12 hours, and sleep on your back the first night.
- No makeup for 24 hours — the injection points are still closing.
- No sauna, steam, hot yoga or heavy exercise for 24 to 48 hours.
- No sea, pool or surf for 48 hours. Salt water and chlorine on fresh injection points is the fastest route to irritation here.
- Gentle cleanser and a soothing moisturiser or mask only. Hold retinol, acids and vitamin C for 3 to 5 days.
- High-SPF sunscreen daily, without exception. UV undoes regenerative work faster than anything else on this island.
- No facials, peels, RF or laser for 1 to 2 weeks.
Small bumps, mild swelling and occasional pinpoint bruising are normal, particularly under the eye where they can take a little longer to settle. If anything concerns you afterwards, message the clinic directly on WhatsApp rather than waiting for your next session.

Three treatments people confuse with it
Rejuran repairs skin. If your concern is dehydration, a hollow under the eye, or lost structure across the face, another injectable does it better — and a longer course won’t change that.

Hyaluronic acid that hydrates the dermis. Boosters add water; Rejuran rebuilds tissue. Dry, dull, otherwise healthy skin wants the booster. Thin, damaged or reactive skin wants Rejuran. Plenty of plans run both, in sequence.

Timing a course around your trip
Rejuran is the least travel-friendly injectable we offer, and it’s better to say that plainly than to sell you a session you can’t build on.
Short trip? A single session is possible but rarely satisfying, because the result comes from the course rather than the appointment. If you’re here for a week, we’ll usually suggest a booster or a facial instead and be honest about why.
Two days out of the water. No sea, no pool, no surf for 48 hours, and a clear week either side of peels or laser. Book around your surf days, not into them.
Events and photography. Small bumps and mild swelling under the eye can take a day or two to settle. Leave a clear week before a wedding or a shoot.
Living in Canggu? This is where Rejuran makes the most sense. Constant UV and salt damage the dermis faster than anywhere temperate, and a regenerative course two or three times a year holds the line better than anything topical will.

What is Rejuran, and what is it made from?

Because it is salmon-derived, a fish or seafood allergy must be disclosed at consultation. The product is highly purified, but we will not treat around an undeclared allergy, and it’s a question we ask every patient.
Is Rejuran the same as a skin booster or a filler?
No. All three are injected into the skin and that’s where the similarity ends. A skin booster is hyaluronic acid that hydrates. A filler is cross-linked hyaluronic acid that holds shape and restores volume. Rejuran is polynucleotide that prompts repair.
Under the eye this distinction decides the outcome. If the tiredness comes from a hollow, filler is the answer. If it comes from thin, crepey skin, Rejuran is. Getting that diagnosis wrong is the single most common reason under-eye treatment disappoints — which is why it’s assessed in person rather than from a photograph.
How many Rejuran sessions do I need?
Typically three sessions, two to four weeks apart. Rejuran builds rather than repeats — each session adds to the last, which is why the first one often looks like nothing much happened. That isn’t a failure; it’s how regeneration works.
After the course, maintenance is usually one session every three to six months depending on your skin and your sun exposure. If you’re only in Bali briefly, tell us at booking — we’d rather recommend something else than start a course you can’t finish.
How long does Rejuran last, and when will I see results?
Visible change appears at around one to two weeks after each session, building across the course. The completed result generally holds 3 to 6 months.
Duration depends on your age, skin condition and environment. Daily UV, sea swimming and air conditioning all shorten it — which is precisely why skin here tends to need regenerative treatment more often than skin in a temperate climate.
Is there downtime, and does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied first and most patients describe light pinpricks. The appointment takes 15 to 30 minutes. Expect small raised bumps at each injection point and possibly mild swelling — under the eye these can take a day or two to settle rather than a few hours.
Occasional pinpoint bruising can occur, particularly around the eye. No makeup for 24 hours, no touching or massaging the area for 12 hours, and no sea, pool, sauna or heavy exercise for 48 hours.
Can I have Rejuran while on holiday in Bali?
You can, but be realistic about it. The result comes from a course of roughly three sessions across six to twelve weeks, so a single session on a one-week trip is unlikely to show you what the treatment does. We’ll tell you that before you book rather than after.
If you do have a session here: no sea, pool or surf for 48 hours, no sauna or heavy exercise in the same window, high-SPF sunscreen daily, and a clear week either side of any peel, facial or laser.

Choosing where to get Rejuran in Bali
Rejuran is one of the most counterfeited injectables in Southeast Asia, and one of the easiest to under-dose without a patient noticing. Both facts should shape where you have it done.
Ask to see the box and the batch
Rejuran is expensive because the product is expensive. A price well below the market is a signal about what’s in the syringe, not about the clinic’s generosity. Ask to see the packaging, the brand and the batch number before treatment — and expect a clinic to offer it without being asked.
Ask who injects, particularly under the eye
In Indonesia, injectables are a medical act. The periorbital area is the least forgiving skin on the face, and depth there is measured in millimetres. Ask whether a doctor performs the injection or whether a therapist does it under nominal supervision. At Aeconic, Dr. Connie Calista Tham assesses and injects.
Ask whether it’s the right diagnosis at all
Tired-looking eyes can be thin skin, a hollow, pigmentation, allergy or fatigue. Only the first is a Rejuran problem. A clinic that recommends Rejuran for all five is optimising for revenue rather than results — and a clinic that says “this is a hollow, you need filler instead” has just saved you a course.
Ask what the whole course costs
A single-session price is a quote for a third of the treatment. Ask how many sessions the doctor expects, at what spacing, and what the total is — before the first appointment, not after it. A clinic that only prices the next session isn’t planning your skin.
Declare a seafood allergy, and expect to be asked
Rejuran is derived from salmon DNA. Any clinic injecting it should ask about fish and seafood allergy as a matter of routine. If nobody asks you, that tells you how thorough the rest of the assessment was.

Generic aftercare assumes an air-conditioned life. In Canggu, the 48 hours after treatment involve heat, sweat, salt water and pool chlorine hitting fresh injection points — and the months afterwards involve UV that undoes regenerative work faster than anything else. If the sheet you’re handed doesn’t mention the ocean, it wasn’t written for this island.
